Amanda Leach started with LEAP in 2015 as a DSP and in 2016 accepted a position as a PS2 at one of our Residential Programs, as well as taking on the role of the Part- time Shared Living Liaison. In September of 2019 she accepted a full-time Shared Living position. In addition, she’s taken on the role of the Delegation Head for our Special Olympics “Team Leap Frog”.

She graduated from Mt. Abram High School in 1997 and was certified as a CNA in 1998, then worked as a CNA until 2001. She started a family, worked in the food industry and took some college classes until 2015 when she moved to the Farmington area. Through LEAP, Amanda became certified as a DSP/CRMA and was trained in MANDT.

She shares, “I love to work at LEAP because I have a great team of co-workers in all aspects of the job. Every day I work I am rewarded. WE help people live a happy healthy life in many ways and to be a part of that makes work more than just working for a paycheck. I get heart-filled smiles from the people that I help, and make a difference in their day-to-day living.
I started my life in Littleton, New Hampshire. My family moved to Maine when was five and I grew up in Phillips. After high school I moved to Rangeley, where I settled down and started a family. I have 3 beautiful children; my oldest daughter is in college working on getting her teaching degree. My other 2 children are still currently in school. I enjoy spending time with my children, sewing and spending time outside.”
