Celeste recently retired after working 34 years in public schools as a speech language clinician for the Mount Blue Regional school district. She has two daughters, Caitlin and Bethany, and a two-year-old grandson, Elliot. A native of Brunswick, she moved to Farmington in 1977. Her experiences in special education, both as a therapist and as the parent of a child with Down syndrome, evolved into the need to learn about and navigate the adult services system. Her main interests in serving on the board are to educate herself, offer a parent’s perspective, and hopefully contribute to the ever-changing opportunities available to adults with disabilities.
