Katrina has always been interested in the medical field; she was a CNA in 1999 when she was introduced to LEAP by her sister, who was working at Our House as practicum student. She was hired as a relief staffer while working in a nursing home, and quickly discovered that LEAP was a much better fit to help serve her need to care for people who may need assistance while still enjoying life. Working as relief, part-time, and then as full-time while getting to know the individuals supported, she slowly worked her way up to the management level starting in 2008 and is now the Administrator of Our House. She truly enjoys the individuals she has served over the past years, they have taught her that the little things in life are truly what it is all about. Life changes happen quickly, and simple joys are true pleasures…whether it is to stop and enjoy a cup of coffee, or going to sit by the river to toss rocks.
