Lisa began working for LEAP in June 2000 as the finance coordinator. She was drawn to the company because of the services provided and its mission statement. Having lost her eleven year old son with Down syndrome in 1996, Lisa wanted to stay connected to and somehow continue supporting individuals with cognitive disabilities. Now well into her second decade as finance director, Lisa continues to marvel at the independence, joy and successes achieved by individuals supported at LEAP. In regards to financial successes, Lisa has seen the company double its revenue and continue providing quality services when faced with significant cuts in funding, through the support and commitment of all staff. Lisa has a bachelor's degree in accounting from Husson College and worked as an accountant at G.H. Bass for ten years prior to joining LEAP. Her greatest joy has been the many adventures enjoyed with her daughter Brooke, including trips to Disney World, Niagara Falls and Bermuda. Lisa looks forward to many more years at LEAP and spending more time with her family and friends.
