Loretta started with Leap at the age of 19 as a Direct Support Professional. After 3 years as a DSP, she left for few years to gain some managerial experience. In November of 2018, she returned as the Program Administrator for FARE House in Turner, Me.

She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from Thomas College in 2014.

Loretta worked as a program supervisor for other agencies, overseeing activities for group homes specializing in traumatic brain injury. Wanting a change,  she jumped at the opportunity to work for LEAP and she says it “felt like coming home.”

Loretta says she loves working for LEAP because we do everything so differently - truly putting the people we support, and what they want, first and foremost. She feels like she is able to make a difference in the lives of the people she supports which is all she has ever wanted out of a profession.

In her spare time, Loretta is an avid reader. She recently bought her own home and spends her time puttering around the house. Both her sister and mother both work for LEAP so it is definitely a family affair.  She enjoys helping care for her 4-year-old nephew and says being an aunt has been the best and most joyful job thus far.
