The Residential Programs at LEAP are seeking people to join our team of Direct Support  Professionals (DSP) who have excellent communication skills, dedication and advocacy potential to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live and be active in their community.

Prior experience in the field is preferred and proficiency in American Sign Language is a plus in some residential homes. Certifications in CPR, Direct Support Professional, MANDT and CRMA are ideal, but not required. LEAP will provide paid trainings upon hire for those who do not have experience.

All candidates must demonstrate: Motivation and compassion, the ability to work within a team environment, a cooperative spirit and an eagerness to continually improve skills & knowledge.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Maine driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to attend mandated monthly staff meetings

Program Support 1
In the Turner Area

Program Support 1 position 10hrs per week, plus at least 28 hrs of DSP hours

The Residential Program at LEAP in Turner is seeking a community member to join our team who has excellent communication skills, dedication and advocacy potential to support people with cognitive & intellectual disabilities to live in their own homes and be active in their community.

Are you a patient, compassionate and dedicated person with a cooperative spirit who is looking to expand your skills & training? This could be the opportunity you have been seeking!

Prior experience working with individuals with cognitive & intellectual disabilities is preferred.

Ideal current certifications: CPR, DSP, MANDT, CRMA. LEAP will provide these trainings for a qualified individual.

All candidates must demonstrate: Motivation & Compassion, Ability to work well within a team with a Cooperative Spirit, an Eagerness to continually improve skills & training, a High School Diploma or GED, be at least 18 yrs of age, and have a Maine driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Position Hours are posted Sunday thru Thursday varying times with Friday and Saturday off.
