The Residential Programs at LEAP are seeking people to join our team of Direct Support  Professionals (DSP) who have excellent communication skills, dedication and advocacy potential to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live and be active in their community.

Prior experience in the field is preferred and proficiency in American Sign Language is a plus in some residential homes. Certifications in CPR, Direct Support Professional, MANDT and CRMA are ideal, but not required. LEAP will provide paid trainings upon hire for those who do not have experience.

All candidates must demonstrate: Motivation and compassion, the ability to work within a team environment, a cooperative spirit and an eagerness to continually improve skills & knowledge.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Maine driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to attend mandated monthly staff meetings

1. Oliver House: Full-time position (32 hours a week) – Farmington, ME.

Oliver House schedule runs on a two-week rotation, working every other weekend.

WK #1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday – 2p-10p

WK #2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday -2p-10p
