LEAP Inc. is seeking a full time Training Director with excellent communication, planning and organizational skills to support LEAP’s administrative teams across western and central Maine. LEAP’s professional staff supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in their own homes and be active in their communities.

Education:

·  Bachelor’s degree is preferred

·  Associate’s degree and/or years of experience will be entertained.

Requirements included:

· at least 1 year of management or supervisory experience.

· An equivalent level of training and professional experience may be accepted for the right candidate.

· Applicant must demonstrate a good working knowledge of Direct Support Professional staff development, quality assurance and computerized data collection systems.

· Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional, training, and MaineCare-DHHS regulations knowledge would be a definite plus.

· CPR/First Aid and Direct Support Professional certifications a plus.

LEAP is hiring Direct Support Professionals!
Pandemic sign-on bonus, flexible scheduling and paid training!

We are paying a $250 sign-on bonus for multiple part-time and full-time openings. $250 will be given after completion of orientation with an additional bonus after 6 months of employment.

In addition, DSPs will receive temporary stabilization pay for all hours worked once hired.

The Residential Programs at LEAP are seeking people to join our team of Direct Support Professionals (DSP) who have excellent communication skills, dedication and advocacy potential to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live actively in their community.

If you’ve been looking to make a difference with your work but weren’t sure where to start, you’ve come to the right place.

Becoming a Direct Support Professional means not only making a difference in someone else’s life, but also in your own.

Prior experience in the field is preferred and proficiency in American Sign Language is a plus in some residential homes. Certifications in CPR, Direct Support Professional, MANDT and CRMA are ideal, but not required. LEAP will provide paid trainings upon hire for those who do not have experience. All candidates must demonstrate: Motivation and compassion, the ability to work within a team environment, a cooperative spirit and an eagerness to continually improve skills & knowledge.

Job Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Maine driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Ability to attend mandated monthly staff meetings
